Cartridges
Each Dakota cartridge is designed to produce maximum performance and accuracy while serving as a fitting companion to your Dakota rifle. The Dakota line of proprietary cartridges has been designed to meet the demands of the serious world-game hunter. There are a total of five cartridges, all based on the 404 Jeffery case, and a sixth (450 Dakota) based on the 416 Rigby case.
These non-belted cartridges offer several advantages over belted that include:
- Better bore alignment
- Increased powder capacity
- Consistent and uniform burn rate
- Improved functioning and headspacing capabilities
