At Dakota Arms, we are proud to feature the voices of hunter and shooter experts who bring their wealth of expertise and experience, as well as their passion for firearms and the outdoors, to our readers. Meet our team:
Matt Cashell

Matt Cashell is a full-time writer, photographer, and retired law enforcement officer living in Western Montana. He spends his time with his family and friends hunting, shooting, hiking, camping, backpacking, fishing, skiing, mountain biking, and generally enjoying the outdoor life Montana offers.
Todd Davis

Todd Davis is a writer, lifelong outdoorsman, US Army Veteran, and grandfather of four crazy-for-the-outdoors grandsons. He grew up hunting, fishing, and trapping the backwoods of northeast Oklahoma. If Todd is not deer hunting for whitetail deer, he is thermal hunting for hogs across Texas. He is also a competitive archer and an Impact Wise Food Pantry director. The Davis family lives in rural north Texas, and they all enjoy keeping the freezer full.
Chris Eger

Chris Eger is an NRA-certified firearms instructor in multiple disciplines with a background in law enforcement and as a security contractor to the federal government. He has been writing badly since 2006 and has a number of poorly-received books in print.
Richard Mann

Richard Mann is a highly respected firearms expert with over 25 years of experience in the industry. Born and raised in West Virginia, he now enjoys his hunting life in beautiful Montana. Richard is also a certified firearms instructor, having trained law enforcement officers and military personnel in firearms tactics and techniques. With a passion for accuracy and precision, Richard is dedicated to helping shooters of all skill levels improve their skills and achieve their goals. His expertise and experience make him a valuable member of the Dakota Arms team.
